Accessories : 15/90 Book cradle

15/90 Book cradle

The 15/90 book cradle, designed exclusively for the DigiBook A0 scanner, allows digitization of very shiny documents with major areas of curvature. It has the ability to hold the document perpendicularly (at 90°) to the camera's motion rail. The 15/90 book cradle also allows the document to be held in the standard position (front position at 0°).

Small in size, the 15/90 book cradle is a mobile accessory mounted on rollers. A removable glass panel option is also available.

Due to the very large digitization dimensions of the A0 scanner, the 15/90 book cradle allows documents of formats up to 2xA2 to be held and digitized in a 0° or 90° position.

The advantages of a 90° orientation:

Even with lighting that is particularly well suited to shiny documents, it is not always possible to eliminate reflection phenomena in areas of curvature in the document. Despite the low angle of lighting, curvatures always present an area that will reflect the light rays to the camera.

By positioning the document at 90°, the curvature of the book will be perpendicular to the camera's digitization line. As a result, spurious reflections due to the area of curvature of the document are eliminated.

The 90° orientation also means that there will no longer be any deformation due the curvature of the document.

And, last but not least, document scanning is faster since it occurs on the smallest dimension of the document.
