Manual scanners : Suprascan A0

Suprascan A0

This upgradable range of scanner harmonizes technology with user requirements. One machine can be fitted with various interchangeable scanner heads.

The scanners in the Suprascan range digitize, with the greatest possible respect to the original, large formats and bound documents DIN A0/E format and beyond up to 870 mm (34.2”) (h) x 1250 mm (49.2”) (w), in colour, grey scale or binary mode.

They provide high-resolution and high-quality images with optical resolution ranging from 150 dpi up to 800 dpi depending on the format and model.

The Suprascan scanners feature outstanding productivity due to their bi-directional scanning and the time masking of the image recording phase: A0/E maps can be digitized at 300 dpi resolution in color, with a scanning time of 34 seconds.

The Suprascan scanners have a user-friendly interface that allows easy configuration of camera settings (which depend on the format and the desired resolution), image display control and digital image archiving.

BENEFITS

  • Document preservation
    - no glass and therefore no contact with the book
    - low light emission with no heat and no visual disturbance to the operator
    - manual or motorised book cradles (optional) with no hydraulic system, so no pressure is exerted on the book
    - 120° book holder (optional), ideal for fragile books

  • High digitization quality
    - high-resolution line scan moving camera
    - fine resolution setting thanks to the mechanical kit for camera-height adjustment
    - moving lights for homogeneous light over the entire document surface
    - real-time lighting correction to process image non-uniformities
    - dedicated lighting for bright/reflective documents and relief improvement (optional for the 6002 RGB model)

  • High productivity
    - only one camera lens setting per book
    - bi-directional scanning: no time wasted due to arm repositioning
    - image display during the digitisation phase
    - image recording independent of scanning operation
    - operator comfort through ergonomic design

  • Flexible scanner range
    - only one mechanical platform
    - choice of monochrome and color cameras (10200 or 14400)
    - removable scanner heads
